Does anyone know if the church has missionaries or members in Macedonia?  From what I've read it seems the Mission in Bulgaria covers or is responsible for Macedonia.
Any ideas???  Thanks.

From what I've heard, there is one member in Macedonia, who the missionaries used to visit.  But other than that, it's part of the mission, but missionaries don't serve or live there.  The political sitiuation is very volitale there, and I suspect that is part of the reason why.  However, you never know what can happen.  The Church could decide over night to open it up.  The Macedonian language is a dialect of Bulgarian, but don't say that to a Macedonian.  They have 2 or 3 extra letters they use in their alphabet, but it's pretty much the same.

Thanks for the insight into Macedonia.  My family and I will be moving to Skopje, Macedonia at the end of 2010 for a couple of years.  It looks like as far as the church, we'll be pretty much on our own, but as you said, the church could open it overnight. Thanks again for the information.

Skopje isn't very far from the Bulgarian border and Sofia, where the mission home is. You may want to contact the mission home before you leave and just let them know that you'll be living there for a few years. Who knows, they might have some resources or other help that they could provide you. Or least inform you of church conferences in Sofia if you'd be interested in making a little trip there to attend.

If you are moving there, I echo what Rich suggests.  Contact the mission home and let them know who you are and where you will be and if they have information on anyone in Skopje.  Who knows, you guys might be the catalyst to get things going over there!!   Smiley
