**BDSI is seeking host families for Bulgarian performers.**
I am writing on behalf of the Bountiful Davis Summerfest International festival, or “BDSI,” a free community international folk arts festival hosted annually at the Bountiful City Park. Each year, BDSI painstakingly coordinates to bring to Utah authentic folk arts performers from countries around the world. This endeavor is reliant on the kind hearts of Utah residents, who host 2 or more performers in their homes each summer. The countries represented this year include: Armenia, Australia, Bulgaria, France (Basque), Indonesia, Israel, Italy, and Romania.
The performers will arrive on July 31st and require housing, food and transportation for one week. This year, finding host families for performers from several countries has been challenging, and hosts are still required for 60 performers from Bulgaria, Indonesia and Romania, of which 7 males and 8 females are from Bulgaria.
