So here I am doing research on social implications of fossil fuel dependence and climate change in cities for a presentation next week and somehow I end up at the MTC's website. It said that missionaries are on there now for 3-12 weeks. My questions are, what languages are taught that keep you there for 12 weeks, and how do they keep the young'ns from going nuts? I remember Crook (lance) being 2 inches from going over the edge, and the poor guys going to Brasil(?) who had been there for 4 months were certifiable!

I was Crook's companion, so I guess I should've pushed him those extra 2 inches over the edge.

Hubbell,

I'm pretty sure we were Group 16.  In your signature you have Group 15, which had Schmolke, Gatrell and Stareyshina Split-tie.

There was an Elder down the hall from us who buzzed his head real short right before he was scheduled to head out.  They made him stay until his hair grew back.

Conte, we've been grupa petnicet for 12 1/2 years. The group Edwards (Sister) was in was 16. Sister "Quits"simmons, Danny Reynolds, Gold etc, were 17.Van and King were 18. Miller started with us but made it back out in 19. Cunningham, Morrisey, et al, were 20. Bingham's group was 21, and Brinton is 22.

The only way we're 16 is if you count Brat Garner and Warners initial group from Germany and Yugoslavia in '90. We don't count themthough, since then you would also have to include the groups of senior missionaries as well. So, we make up the 15th group of missionaries to have gone to Bulgaria from the MTC (Provo).

As additional trivia, when our group got off the plane, we marked a total of 130 LDS missionaries that had entered the country.
