The question was raised about having a Partridge reunion, and I thought it needed its own thread, so here it is...

As you know Pres. Partridge and Sara Partridge live far away and don't come to reunions, so we've always been left to our own devices to plan reunions--if and when we've wanted to have them.

In the Summer of 2005, Brent Tobler and myself (Brinton) planned a small and very informal reuntion at a park in the SLC area.  Brent chose the park, I chose the date and time and together we decided that it would be a casual party, with each family bringing their own picnic dinner. We also decided that we wanted to do the reunion away from Confrence so that people would not feel so rushed, and so that it could be a more informal gathering. It worked out to be a great party.  The kids played on the playground and the adults talked, shared and took pictures and so on.

I think everyone had a great time....Brent had expressed a few months ago--on the old site, that he wanted to do this again.  I think it would be great, if we just went with the same concept again.  What we'd need to do is decide on a date, a time and a place and then spread the word.

If you are interested in having a reunion, let me know, my email is brintonchick (at) yahoo (dot) com.  And we can start putting something together.

Bringing the Partridges together would be a difficult hurdle, yet not impossible.  I believe Pres. Partridge lives in Texas?  Sis. Partridge lives in Peoria, Illinois, I believe.  I think a great idea would be to have a summer reunion in Nauvoo during the City of Joseph pageant (the whole month of July).  Sis. Partridge could be there and so could I.  Anyone flying over could land in STL and I could help with arrangements there, too.  This idea requires more planning than normal and can be talked up at the April reunion in Utah.

Step 1: Who is interested?  Shocked

Just imagine...

As to getting the Partridges to a reunion: there are hurdles..

1--President lives in Montana with his new wife, but he has lost his hearing and does not really do anything socially.  Don't count on him to come to anything ever...that's just how it is.

2--Sara lives in Peoria IL, and is on a very limited income.  I can see her going over to Nauvoo, but never out to Utah, she just does not have the means to do this.

As for having a reunion out in Nauvoo, if you want to plan something, go for it.  I still vote for something in Utah, as we can get a higher turn out, the majority of Partridge alums still live in the Wasatch area, or with in a day's drive of Utah.

This is just my 2 stotinki.... Smiley

I have an even greater (and unrealistic) idea.  Lets have it in Sofia!  Nothing like reminiscing in the place where all the memories happened, right?  I'm sure I could reserve the Church building.  And the таратор just isn't the same unless it's made with real кисело мляко.

Think about it....

Does anyone have Sis. Partridge's contact information?  What is her name now?  How about Pres. Partridge's contact info?

Sara Partridge
2207 N Atlantic St
Peoria IL 61603

Edward (Mac) & Peggy Partridge
3812 S Tanager Ln
Billings MT 59102
Peggy's email: pegturtle@gmail.com

Sorry I don't have phone numbers for either of them.  But, if you email Peg, she will pass on anything to President.  And if you write to Sara, she will write back.  I know there is also someone registered on the site who lives in the President's ward in Montana, I don't know who he is though, I think he might be a Warner missionary?
