Religious affairs are discussed in Bulgaria

SOFIA, Bulgaria -- President Blair Bennett of the Bulgaria Sofia Mission and his wife, Sister Mary Jane Bennett, met with Professor Ognyan Gerdjikov, chairman of the Parliamentary Committee of Human Rights and Religious Affairs on April 26 in the National Assembly of Parliament on Batenberg Square.

President Bennett explained the organization of the Church to Professor Gerdjikov and presented him with a copy of the Book of Mormon and other Church materials, as well as a recording of Tabernacle Choir music.

Professor Gerdjikov asked many questions about the humanitarian aid donated by the Church to Bulgaria and other countries. President Bennett recapped the largest humanitarian projects of the Church to Bulgaria; namely, aid for flood victims, wheelchair donations, equipment for the center of urgent medical aid and for the University Hospital St. George in Plovdiv, the dental faculty in Sofia, and others.
