Yes...Старейшина Елдър.  No need to confuse the poor people by translating your last name.

Старейшина Старейшинo
So will they call me:
Cтарейшина Cтарейшина

or:
Cтарейшина Eлдep

Actually it would be Старейшина СтарейшинoB, but that makes as much sense as Mister MisterGrin

ok so I have a quick question on how I would do mine...
name is James Patrick Weiss so.. it would be Старейшина Джеймс Патрик Вайс right? My family's pronounciation of Weiss has the long E sound...

If you pronounce it with a "W" as in Water, I would recommend spelling it "Уайс".  And you'll probably never see your first name in Cyrillic...but you've got the spelling right.

sweet!!! thanx for letting me know!
one last thing on names! my friend has been dying to know how to spell her name in Bulgarian. It's Kirsten (with the i making the long E sound, like Keersten) and i hope i wasn't wrong in telling her it would be spelled Кийрстен.

Yes, you're spelling is correct. Although you could also spell it Кирстен. The й is somewhat redundant in this case, at least as far as I can remember.

I'm with Davies on this.  Кирстен would be the way I would spell it unless you have a reason to draw out the "eer" with an й.  That would be more of a Russian thing.  Bulgarian pronunciation is very...hard.  (hard as in rock, not as in difficult).  It doesn't have a lot of soft sounds.  Unless the person speaking is drunk.  You'll see.
